Gold Sponsorship Proposal
Whole Children, Whole Planet Expo 2008
May 17-18, 2008 • Highland Hall Waldorf School • Northridge, CA

What is Whole Children, Whole Planet Expo?

The Whole Children, Whole Planet (WCWP) Expo is the premier natural parenting and family expo that introduces and educates families, professionals and friends about the benefits of whole, organic foods, holistic medicine, non-toxic products and enrichment learning programs. The Expo will also address important safety and environmental issues to better protect our children and the planet.

WCWP Expo will be held May 19-20, 2007 at Highland Hall Waldorf School in Northridge California. The Expo is designed to create empowered parents, balanced families and a healthier planet for our future. We expect 10,000+ attendees and more than 200 exhibitors.

The WCWP Expo will be filled with two days of fun for all ages, with three stages for education and entertainment, including:

  • The Kitchen Stage – Listen in as celebrities, natural gourmet chefs and company owners share their wisdom about nutrition, organic foods, global issues, etc., in an informal kitchen setting.
  • The Main Stage – Learn the latest information about a variety of topics through interactive panels with celebrities, authors and experts discussing issues vital to the health and well-being of our children and the environment.
  • The Yoga, Reading and Music Stage – Celebrities and authors will read from their favorite children's books; a variety of different (kid friendly) yoga programs will be demonstrated; and music and theatrical groups will entertain us.

Experts and celebrities are added daily to programs on each stage – check back for updates.

The Expo will address a wide range of issues: Childhood obesity, natural solutions for autism, natural fertility options, recycling, organic gardening, alternative pest control, keeping a toxic-free home, socially conscious grand-parenting and what you can do to make a difference.

About The Producers
WCWP Expo is the brainchild of Kathy Arnos, a California-based mother, author (www.spiritdancepublishing.com) and producer, who has recognized a need for guidance and education in the community for creating more balanced lifestyles. Arnos believes our society is facing critical issues among our youth today – childhood obesity, epidemic rates of autism, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, disrespect, alcohol and drug addiction, teen suicide and depression, cancer clusters and much more. She states, "There is no handbook for raising healthy children – mind, body and spirit – or for guidance in supporting a sustainable planet for their future. My goal is to offer families, teachers and friends all of these resources under one roof."

In 1987, Arnos got involved with natural health and environmental issues as a result of her daughter Danielle's chronic illness after childhood vaccines. She has spent the past 18 years researching and sharing her knowledge with other families about natural healing methods and informed lifestyle choices.

Our Mission
The WCWP Expo is about raising healthy children – mind, body and spirit – in a safe, natural, non-toxic, nurturing environment. Our mission is to empower and educate families by providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions and take proper actions to keep their children and planet safe and healthy.

Our society is plagued by incessant kid-targeted advertising campaigns promoting unhealthy food habits, over-the-counter and prescription medications and wasteful consumption. Fear-based decisions are made every day because parents are faced with often confusing and conflicting information about how to raise healthy children. Sifting through the facts for informed decision-making is a crucial part of responsible parenting.

We are committed to educating families, professionals and friends about the benefits of using holistic medicine – homeopathy, herbs, flower essences; vitamins and minerals; natural products, i.e., body and personal care products, cleaning products, etc.; new philosophies; respecting our planet and it's inhabitants; recycling; safety and environmental issues; and eating healthy organic foods that taste great without additives, preservatives, chemicals, coloring dyes or refined sugar.

Marketplace Overview
Southern California is a recognized world center for conscious parenting techniques and healthier lifestyles. According to the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) Journal Weekly, approx. 30% of adults - or almost 750,000 families in LA County – are considered to be LOHAS Consumers.

Current U.S. Census Bureau statistics reflect that L. A. County alone is home to almost 2.5 million families with children under the age of 18. The WCWP Expo will provide an exceptional opportunity for educating not only those already familiar with healthy and conscious lifestyles, but also a larger, perhaps less knowledgeable mainstream audience, all of who are searching for answers to the complexities of parenting or working with children in today's society.
